Facility: Main Hospital at Grand Rapids
Department: College of Nursing
This position is designed for the recent graduate of an approved nursing educational program (must graduate before the start of the Internship) that is acceptable to the Board of Nursing and eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). The Nurse Intern (under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse) provides and facilitates patient care through the application of the nursing process and implementation of physician orders within the framework of established policies, procedures, standards and guidelines for patients in specific clinical settings. Graduate of an accredited and approved school of nursing; curriculum includes a minimum of 600 hours of clinical instruction in an acute care setting. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Eligible to take the NCLEX exam. EMT, Paramedic, Nurse aide or CENA or other clinical experience in a health care setting; acute care experience preferred.
The Internship will start in July 2012.
