JOB DESCRIPTIONProvides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Communicates with supervising RN and Nursing Instructor, as appropriate, about changes in patient s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Participates in the department's performance improvement activities. Provides service to ages of neonate and adult.
Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing; or licensed foreign nurse waiting to take state boards.
Successfully completed NUR 101 and NUR 102 or Registered Nurse student with documented completion of Medical Surgical, Adult Health Rotation or be within one year of graduation unless foreign licensed Nurse.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
