Job Description

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN seeks an experienced nursing professional to oversee its Psychiatric Acute Care Program and participate in the strategic planning process. This position plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the operational, fiscal, safety and personnel activities to ensure the provision of quality nursing care. The nurse manager promotes shared decision- making on the unit level, and facilitates collaboration between nursing personnel and other healthcare disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community. A Masters degree in Nursing or a BSN with a Masters degree in business or a health-related field is required. We will consider candidates meeting all other qualification criteria who commit to degree completion within six months of hire. Qualifications include 3-5 years of nursing practice experience; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and at least two years of hospital-related experience as a registered nurse within past five years; and current Minnesota RN licensure or equivalent deemed acceptable by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing. Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
