JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY The MGH Clinical Research Unit (CRC) is seeking a per diem Practice Nurse (NP) to practice in an interdisciplinary environment to support both biomedical and nursing clinical research at MGH. The ideal candidate will enjoy collaborating with colleagues to develop a patient-focused model of care implementing research studies. The patient population on the CRC is diverse and includes all ages and specialties.
We offer a supportive environment for orientation, continued learning, and ongoing professional development. The schedule is flexible and managed by the CRC team of NPs. You will perform histories and physicals as necessary, consult with colleagues within Patient Care Services to ensure safe implementation of research studies. You will also enjoy the opportunity to learn and perform research specific procedures, provide patient education, health promotion, counseling and referral. As an integral member of this team, you will provide nursing and study staff mentoring and development, and will market CRC resources to researchers throughout the MGH community.
Bachelor's and Master's degree in nursing, MA licensure as a NP and 3-5 years of family or pediatric NP experience in an ambulatory care setting (private practice, clinic, family or pediatric setting). Research RN or NP experience is preferred.
