JOB DUTIES:







The Administrative Nurse II of Ambulatory Nursing works independently and collaboratively with the outpatient department managers, nursing staff and physicians to promote clinical and quality excellence and to ensure consistent clinical practices as they relate to regulatory standards and UCLA Health System policies and procedures. The individual in this position is responsible for Ambulatory nursing practice, including developing and reviewing Ambulatory nursing competencies based on standard and/or evidence based best practices, coordinating Ambulatory orientation, complying with regulatory requirements, and participating in various committees related to the improvement of Ambulatory patient care. Areas of responsibility include all of the UCLA Westwood-based, hospital licensed clinics, and unlicensed clinics under the leadership of the Faculty Practice Group.





JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

California RN License, BCLS, BSN required. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify pattern and formulate conclusions

Ability to creatively integrate competing demands of an outpatient setting into a productive working environment
Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health and effective communication with staff, faculty and the general public in conveying information to varying organizational levels
Previous demonstrated expertise in supervising nursing staffing
Skill and experience in developing Quality Improvement.
