125-bed acute psychiatric facility offering a full range
of individually tailored treatment services to
adolescents, adults and senior adults. Heritage Oaks

service. The hospital is a Medicare provider, and has
contracts with most commercial health insurance plans,
Medi-Cal and Medicare HMOs. The candidate selected will
be responsible for the following:
The Nursing Supervisor assumes responsibility for
complete facility operations during the assigned shift.
This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff,
and ensuring that patient care is provided in an
accurate and timely manner. This position has
responsibility for the supervision of care of patients
ranging in age from adolescent through geriatrics.
Education: Degree from an accredited program in
professional nursing is preferred; or equivalent
combination of related education and experience is
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in
an acute hospital setting; preferably in a psychiatric
facility. Supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State
Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and
successful completion of Handle with Care (including
appropriate use of seclusion and restraint) and Verbal
De-escalation training within thirty (30) days of
employment; must pass a medication administration exam.
