UNIT DIRECTOR/PSYCHIATRY - ADOLESCENT UNIT - CENTRAL, NJ JOB DESCRIPTION: This behavioral healthcare system, has been a trusted source of compassionate help and supportive healing for patients and their families since they opened their doors in 1910. One of the largest independent, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare facilities in New Jersey, This facility specializes in psychiatric and substance abuse addiction treatment, and provides a complete array of expert care and education for adolescents, adults, and older adults on the inpatient and residential levels. Outpatient services are provided for ECT treatment and drug abuse addiction. Ours is a safe, compassionate and respectful environment, set on a beautiful 100+ acre country setting in Central, NJ. UNIT DIRECTOR (NURSING-ADOLESCENT UNIT)- Under the direction of the Vice President of Patient Care Services, this position is responsible for ensuring safe, quality patient-centered care is delivered by providing leadership to staff in a manner consistent with the mission and scope of service of the department, policies and procedures, and the state, federal, and Joint Commission standards and regulations. The Unit Director has 24 hour accountability for the operation of the unit.
REQUIRES: Bachelors and graduate of an accredited RN program required. MSN preferred; 5 years psychiatric experience and 1 year in a leadership capacity required; Current NJ RN license required; ANCC certification, Mental Health Nurse Certification and IV certification preferred.
Strongly prefer individuals with Adolescent Unit experience (Ages 12-18)
