This is an exciting opportunity for an Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician at Pocono Medical Center, which is located in the beautiful, scenic Pocono Mountains of North Eastern Pennsylvania just off Interstate 80, only 75 miles from Manhattan and 90 minutes from Philadelphia. As a sole-community provider hospital located in the second fastest growing county in the state of Pennsylvania, PMC expects to enhance its services to the surrounding community and reduce its need to refer patients 45 miles away. Presently, six collaborative OBGYN physicians rotate through labor and delivery and three OBGYN practices along with a growing team of certified nurse midwives. The ideal physician will embrace a diverse population with varying risk levels and plans of care. Physicians will receive PMCs malpractice insurance with an extended reporting tail coverage. A new 60,000 square foot Cancer Center is our latest development that will open in the Fall of 2012, connected by a bridge to the hospital and with a focus is on Primary Care, Oncology, Womens amp; Childrens Services, and OB.
