Facility: Franciscan Hospital for Children at Brighton
Department: Occupational Therapy

SUMMARY: Full Time licensed Occupational Therapists will assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent disorders related to upper extremity strength and coordination, fine motor skills, visual motor skills, handwriting, self-care, sensory processing and modulation skills, and attention to task. The Occupational Therapist will use qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, including standardized tests, to analyze and diagnose the nature and extent of impairments to develop an individualized plan of care, tailored to each patient s needs. This position will work in the Kennedy Day School Program and on Inpatient Units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Provide evaluation and treatment of movement and cognitive disorders in accordance with physician orders.
Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy.
Compliance with federal and state regulations, professional guidelines and code of ethics for the profession of occupational therapy and provision of occupational therapy services.
Working with inpatients
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor s Degree or Master s Degree from an accredited program. New grad considered with pediatric field experience.
