PRN - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTVCU Health System Childrens Hospital of Richmond
at VCU, Brook Road Campus is seeking a PRN/Hourly Occupational Therapist to
conduct evaluations on referred patients. To plan and implement a comprehensive
treatment program that includes discharge planning, patient/family education,
and recommendations for follow-up or continued care. To document results of the
OT evaluation and services provided in accordance with hospital and department
guidelines. To participate as a member of a self-directed departmental team as
well as a member of an interdisciplinary patient care team. ResponsibilitiesEvaluation
and treatment of patients with routine diagnoses. Setting schedule and managing
time. Reporting in interdisciplinary rounds. Goal setting for routine
diagnoses. Completion of routine documentation. Interaction with the
interdisciplinary team and self-directed work team. Customer interaction.Occupational
Therapist provides supervision for Rehab Technician, COTA staff, volunteers and
students doing clinical rotations.Cross-coverage
to other treatment teams as needed. Qualifications RequiredGraduate
of an accredited School of Occupational TherapyCurrent
license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Occupational TherapistCurrent
CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice areaMinimum
of 1 year work experience as an Occupational Therapist. PreferredMasters
or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Occupational TherapySuccessful
challenge of the VCUHS Occupational Therapy Clinical LadderPrevious
experience with evaluations and interventions (physical and psycho-social)
