Per diem, 1st shift
Occupational Therapist required

The Occupational Therapy Per Diem position entails treating a variety of patients on a 24 bed inpatient rehab unit. Focus of treatment is on self care, ADL's ,upper extremity strengthening and education with a goal of reaching the highest level possible and returning home. Treatment is mostly 1:1 and completed in a multidisciplinary environment.

Occupational Therapy Summary:


* Evaluate and treat patients of varying ages and diagnosis. * Documentation of services rendered to patients. * Communicate/interact with patients, physicians, peers * Participates in inservices, audits, performance improvement, staff meetings. * Use of manual skills in evaluation and treatment of patients (i.e. Palpation, joint mobilization, myofascial). * Set-up and use equipment necessary for evaluation and treatment of patient. * Initiate emergency procedures such as CPR and positioning of patient. * Splint fabrication * Manual skills for manipulation of joints and limbs.
