Job Description

Primary Role:

Contribute to achieving national sales quota by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plan in assigned region. Provide current, accurate and meaningful product information to physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, and other customers, for the primary purpose of selling the customer on Shire products.

Responsibilities:

Meet all quarterly sales objectives for Shire productsImplement and assist in developing marketing and sales strategies as directedManages distribution of Company's products through various channels of distribution; i.e. retailers, wholesalers, hospitals and others as assignedParticipate in sales meetings, medical meetings, conventions and training programs as requiredDemonstrate mastery of basic selling skills as outlined in the initial training program and subsequent P.O.A. meetingsDemonstrate advanced product knowledge of Shire's products and competitive productsDemonstrate effective interaction with all company personnelMaintain up-to-date call records for physicians, hospitals, pharmacies and other field contactsSubmit reports and paperwork accurately and on timeMaintain organized, clean and proper sample and literature storageMaintain a clean car and in good working order - report any damage and initiate repairs, so as to minimize automotive lost field timeMaintain a professional business-like appearance at all timesDevelop and maintain a physician universe and territory operational plan designed for efficient coverage/call back frequency of high volume physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and other key customersDevelop and maintain a positive business climate for the CompanyConsult with Management on unusual problems or situationsRead and follow the Company's policy and proceduresOther tasks as assigned by management

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree Minimum two years of current business to business sales experience.Minimum Requirements.
