Job Description
DescriptionOn Call SCA Biometrics Technician position is available in our Birmingham, AL office. Upon submitting your resume, please indicate your desire for this ?On Call? opportunity. Below is the qualifying process that one goes through in order to be cleared for training and schedule for ?On Call? work on as ?as needed basis?. On Call employees can be scheduled from 0-39 hours any given week depending on staffing shortages. No hours are guaranteed and the situations by which the Site Supervisor can schedule you for work are when employees get sick, go on vacation, leave work due to emergencies and when the work flow demands increase to the point that requires the Site Supervisor to call for extra help in order to get the customers processed in a timely manner. The hourly pay for this position is $14.66, a Health & Welfare rate of $3.59 per hour and you will be paid during the two week training period. Upon completing of your training, the Site Supervisor will then schedule you on an as needed basis. Days and hours of operations are Monday thru Friday (7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.). US citizenship is required. You must pass drug/credit screen & obtain and maintain a security clearance. Please take a moment to review the responsibilities and qualifications listed below. Performs Biometrics processing to include electronic and manual fingerprints, electronic photographs, electronic signatures, and press print. Uses manual and/or electronic Biometrics processes for 6 or more applicants per hour. Continually maintains a fingerprint reject rate of 2% or below. Able to perform reception and administrative duties of the General Clerk 1, and may act as a substitute for the General Clerk 1. Responsible for tracking processing time for each applicant. Responsible for safeguarding all documents. Assists customers with routine questions. Refers less routine questions and problems to the Site Supervisor ASCM. Performs general administrative duties using discretion. Answers telephone, routes callers, takes messages, and provides information to customers.
