JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY DTI is seeking candidates for the position of Onsite Records Lead.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:Evaluates current active records system for compliance by taking inventories and reviewing information retrieval needsMonitor and listen to customers to understand inquiries and requests in order to provide accurate information about the firms records and prompt assistanceCoordinates information creation, receipt, storage retrieval and dispositionEnsures security and preservation of records in records centers and inactive recordsWorks with departments on special information research and retrieval projects to ensure that all information needs are metExhibit excellence in customer service and the ability to serve othersEnsures application of retention schedules to inactive records. Answer verbal, telephone, written and E-mail inquiries, regarding records requests in an efficient mannerPrepare new files within the records system guidelinesOther duties as assigned
Required Characteristics and Credentials:3+ years experience in law firm records managementPrior supervisory experience (preferred)Previous experience utilizing legal-specific records management systems (preferred)High School Diploma or equivalent (4 years of college preferred)Be personable, articulate, knowledgeable and professional in presenting oneself in a professional settingAbility to learn skills quicklyFlexibility in dealing with simultaneous projectsAttention to detailAbility to function with a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy in handling any ¡§complaint¡¨ situationsAbility to lift or move 40 lbs. or greaterFine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 100lbsAbility to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of timeManual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc)Working knowledge of Microsoft products pertaining to the specific position including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel etcReading, writing, and arithmetic skills requiredVisual acuityAble to convey information and ideas through speech in ways that others will understandAble to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentencesAble to speak clearly so listeners understand, identify and understand the speech of another personExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisionStrong computer and database skillsAbility to function with a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information
