Operating Room Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:
Will perform a variety of pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative duties. Works with other members of the health care team to provide patient care, under the direction of a registered nurse. To assure that all supply carts, par level carts, instrument sets, single peel packs and emergency supplies meet established quotas both qualitatively and quantitatively and delivered to the surgical core(s) or surgical suite in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in an operating room environment preferred
Understanding of asepsis and operating room standards preferred
Ability to coordinate activities with others
Ability to execute detailed procedures with accuracy, efficiency and precision.
BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire date
