JOB DESCRIPTIONOperational Excellence Leader

The site operational excellence leader will provide continuous improvement support to the manufacturing facility teams by leading projects, implementing new practices, and procedures.
Work closely with the Director of Operational Excellence and the General Managers to align continuous improvement projects with business key performance indicators
Lead improvement teams utilizing the Six Sigma methodology and lean techniques, track project schedule, benefits, and other key metrics
Assures effective customer service and relations by implementing processes to deliver quality products on time
Support the Director of Operational Excellence in standardization of processes and training material as specified in rolling out Operational Excellence Strategy
Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
Perform other assignments as required
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering (ME, IE or EE)
7 to 15 years minimum experience in manufacturing
Experienced and certified Black-Belt, Green-Belt or Lean Expert, or able to achieve certification within 18 months
Must be a proven leader and team player, with a track record in change management
Strong team builder, mentor, and coach
Demonstrated ability to implement new techniques and continuous improvement programs at all levels of manufacturing operations
Understanding and minimum 5 years experience with world class manufacturing principles including JIT, Demand Flow, Lean
Manufacturing, and Six Sigma techniques
Facilitation, negotiation, and conflict management skills
Computer skills - intermediate level
Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with people at all levels inside and outside the company
