The Waterfall Catering and Special Events is Delawares premiere full service on-site catering venue located in Claymont Delaware. We have a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our team. The Operations Manager / Maitred is a full time salaried position with a generous benefits package. The Operations manager is responsible for the overall operation of the venue. This involves not only running the venue during an event, but also handling all the preparation before the event and after as well. The Operations manager works closely with the staff to ensure all events are a success. Minimum 2 years management with a background history in Hospitality, Restaurant or food service operations is required. Special Events / Catering background a plus. Responsibilities: . Scheduling Direct supervision of a staff of 40-50 Linen Ordering Oversee Repair and Maintenance Inventory control Assist in Hiring and training of FOH staff Special Events / Catering background a plus Matitre'd responsibilities through events Required Skills: Outstanding organizational skills. Attention to detail. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. ability to read, write, speak and understand instructions, policies, regulations. Advanced knowledge in managing all aspects of a Food and Beverage operation Professional, assertive and positive with a proven ability to develop and lead in a team environment. Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and adjust quickly to changing priorities. Must possess computer literacy skills, i.e. Windows based (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint), ServSafe certification preferred.
