Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with peer managers and Distribution Services Sr. Mgr to continuously improve overall operations Support efforts to improve warehousing procedures to more effectively use available space, reduce handling time, and reduce costs Assure the most economic use of resources in all areas by establishing priorities based on workload demands, consistent with and supporting of divisional priorities Advise the Distribution Services Sr. Mgr on changes in procedures and conditions that will affect operations and budgeted costs Analyze cost variances and incorporate weekly and monthly narrative, detailing reasons for variances Monitor operations costs on a daily, weekly basis and ensure budget control Oversee departmental goal setting for self, supervisors and employees to provide guidance in the effective allocation of resources to meet daily, weekly and monthly objectives Support departmental accuracy, inventory, and tracking requirements Assist and monitor supervisors in anticipating staffing requirements Provide regular documented feedback regarding job performance, quarterly update of annual goals and quarterly check in with direct reports Ensure goals are communicated and performance is monitored, recorded, and addressed as appropriate Provide support in ensuring that employees are adequately trained Coordinate with Human Resources to proactively resolve employee issues before and as they arise Foster and maintain open communication with all employees Ensure that disciplinary action is fair, consistent, applied in a timely manner, and properly recorded, reported, reviewed and approved as required Ensure new employees safety orientation Monitor the area and distribution center with regards to safety Assure that all equipment is properly used, stored and maintained Ensure general cleanliness of the facility, meeting standards set by the Distribution Services Sr. Mgr Inspect the facility daily for problem areas in process, safety and cleanliness Present a professional demeanor, conduct and appearance Ensure effective communications up, down and across the business, execute weekly global meetings with employees Model Gap s Code of Business Conduct, Principles of Integrity and appropriate level of trust and integrity Participate in and support all company provided training initiatives Support an open and engaging employee work environment, including round tables, open door policy and employee opinion survey Organization Relationships: Interact with all levels of the leadership team, business partners and peers. Job Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, skills & abilities: Competent in use of computer equipment and word processing, spreadsheet and database products Direct to consumer retail experience preferred Cost-benefit analysis experience Ability to effectively manage and measure work produced Establish priorities and resource allocation Industry understanding Project management skills Staff development skills Excellent writing skills Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills Strategic and tactical planning skills Excellent problem solving skills Customer focus Ability to motivate others Cultural awareness and understanding Supportive of a diverse and inclusive work place Minimum educational level: BA/BS degree or demonstrated equivalent in related field is preferred Minimum Experience: 5-10 yea
