This position will be responsible for managing New Product Introduction and/or Sustaining Projects, Product Upgrades/Releases, and End of Life activities for Blue Coat s products. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Define the specific project requirements, establishing integrated schedules, and driving resolution of cross functional issues
Represent Operations at the Program Team Meetings
Lead/direct the Operations support team assuring the necessary Blue Coat personnel and procedures are in place to support the release schedule
Work with the program team to define the implementation requirements for Operations and the Blue Coat s Third Party Logistic and Contract Manufacturing Partners
Work with Doc Control and Supply Base Engineering to assure ECOs are properly defined and released in a timely manner
Lead status meetings within the Operations organization including issuing meeting and action item notes
Ensure regular progression of resolution efforts & timely ultimate resolution to escalated problems.
Provide regular status reports to management
Assist in implementation of process improvement initiatives
Execute cost reduction initiative plans
Related experience in a sustaining hardware position
Excellent verbal and written communication skill are required.
Must be able to interact effectively with different cross functional teams.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and work well in a fast paced environment.
Comfortable with influencing and communicating with all levels of the organization.
Ability to analyze and make critical decisions.
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Able to focus on the big picture while managing details.
Understanding of the hardware product life cycle
Managing and communicating overall project costs
Over 10 years related experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management
Engineering Bachelor Degree required; MBA a plus.
Proficient in Excel, Project, Word and Power Point.
Track record of obtaining goal-oriented results.
OEM program management experience desirable
Additional Desired Experience/Certification
Process development and implementation experience
Agile PDM system
Knowledge of security and/or networking products
SW development program management
Formal training in Program Management tools and processes
