Adecco is currently searching for an experienced Operations Supervisor in the Hazleton area. This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift, 4pm-12:30am. This role requires that you are Bilingual in Spanish.

The Operations Supervisor, under the direction of the Plant Manager, will coordinate and manage all activities utilizing the principles of Lean Manufacturing/5S to organize the workplace, reveal problems, and sustain improvements in quality, productivity, safety and cost.


-Direct and supervise manufacturing operations under the direction of the Plant Manager.
-Work with Team Leaders to develop the following:
1 Overall adherence to SOPs and other company and Depot Policies & Procedures;
2 Applied 6S Methodology (5S + Safety)
3 Adherence to critical quality procedures;
4 Understanding/implementation of visual workplace;
5 Meeting and attaining daily/weekly/monthly production goals;
6 Team Leaders and Associates leadership and other skills critical to operational success.

-Spearhead elimination of defects by working with Auditor and others to put permanent corrective actions in place.
-Improve plant floor performance and morale by hands-on involvement and effective OJT training procedures with operators and other floor personnel.
-Assist in the development and communication of performance objectives and acceptable standards of performance for depot personnel.
-Provide consistent feedback to maintain performance standards.
-Optimal utilization of the work force on the floor. Decrease the need for headcount while making jobs easier for employees by utilizing the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
-Maintain a safe facility and adherence to safety protocols. Oversee the plants safety program by monitoring for compliance with federal, state, and plant required safety rules and regulations.
-Oversee and ensure that all required training is being conducted and in a timely fashion and recorded in keeping with OSHA and other regulatory agencies as well as company policy, this includes Safety training.
-Conduct regular floor audits to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-As Operations Supervisor, drive and champion employee morale as key performance metric to minimize employee turnover and absenteeism.
-Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

-Minimum 5 years experience in front line supervision.
-Background/exposure in Lean Manufacturing/5S.
-Experience in administering Safety Programs and adherence to safety protocols.
-Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence, communicate and operate effectively.
-Experience managing to key performance indicator metrics.
-Proficient with Excel, data warehouse software, PowerPoint.
-Bi-lingual (Spanish) required

-Bachelors Degree in relevant area a plus.
-Certification in relevant areas, e.g. Lean Manufacturing, OSHA, Safety etc. are preferred
