Provide customer and operational support by investigating and resolving system integration issues for Aftermarket Technical Services (AMTS) Value Stream systems in support of LEAN, and other corporate and customer initiatives.
The position will require knowledge and understanding of the Information and Engineering Technology (IET) functions in order to bridge the needs between what the user community (AMTS) requires and what the implementers in IET can provide. This link will allow coordination between this role and IET to provide optimized solutions.
Will have strong technical and communication skills to facilitate resolution of system issues, and the creation and continuous improvement of system solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Create and maintain data storage schemes in support of system-based AMTS standard tools.
Act as day-to-day Administrator on AMTS systems.
Prioritize and implement Continuous Improvement items on AMTS systems.
Provide Teamcenter, CSLog, MS Project, Content Management System, and Sharepoint support and coordination to improve capabilities, functionality and integration of data.
Provide support and coordination to improve the visual controls and reporting capability of the VS (Teamcenter Reporting & Analytics, large screens, andon lights).
Bachelor's degree in business or technical field with 8 years industry experience, or 12 years industry experience in lieu of a degree.
Required:
- Technical savvy to understand quickly the current Aftermarket Technical Services systems and how they impact the business.
- Familiarity with Project Management and the correct protocol for implementations.
- Ability to see connection of user requirements of the Aftermarket Technical Services business and implement solutions to address them.
- Expertise in MS Office at a Forms Authoring / Software Development level.
- Experience in web (HTML, JavaScript), and portal technology (Sharepoint).
- Self motivated individual who is results driven with work performed under consultative direction.
- Works well under pressure and be able to prioritize key activities.
- Good knowledge of database, network application, and computer file concepts.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to influence at all interface levels within AMTS and outside organizations. Exhibit both business and technical savvy.
- Professional demeanor, tact and diplomacy commensurate with the interface requirements of the position.
- Able to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a reporting tool (eQube, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports).
- Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement.
