Position Overview Operates the Twister Machine in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications ensuring that a quality product is being produced. Responsibilities Considering job knowledge, job environment and culture, effort, skills, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibilityInspect assigned job at the beginning of every shift.Inspect packages for defects.Doff twisted packages.Repair ends down.Housekeeping.Perform yarn changes.Quality patrols.Maintain yarn tension.Make a tail.Follow repair ticket procedure, waste prevention procedure and yarn inspection procedure.Ensure minimum lag time has been met on Aiken Extruded Yarns.Identify packages with correct identifiers.Communicate any problem or concerns to the Supervisor in a timely fashion.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Perform all job duties using safe work methods.Be in pre-shift meeting area ten (10) minutes before your scheduled shift for shift meeting.Follow break scheduled as noted on doff schedule.Comply with department Work Instruction and Standard Operating Procedures found in SQS manual.Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.Comply with Shaw Environmental System (SES) procedures.Complies with SAFE System procedures.Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as requiredOne year manufacturing experience preferred.Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to twelve continuous hours.Must be able to lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently.Must be able to reach 73 inches above floor level to creel packages.Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
