Job Description
Overview Responsible for performing entry level functions carried out by the operational unit, demonstrating a sound understanding of basic policy and procedure. In addition to the responsibilities noted above, the role will also have functional responsibilities specific to each unit. To perform historic and transactional research from First Niagara systems and legacy systems from acquired banks in order to fulfill customer requests from our branches, Medicaid request, and subpoena requests. Key Responsibilities:Process daily work; maintain compliance with rules and regulations, with attention to bank policy, procedures and regulatory deadlines.Ensure that assigned workload is completed within all deadlines and SLAs. May help to ensure department procedures are written, available, and current. Work independently as well as in a team atmosphere. Resolve problems with the assistance and support of other team members and/or supervisors.Escalate any concerns to supervisors. Recommend changes or alternate ways in processing methods to allow improved operating efficiency and service levels.Work collaboratively with other areas of the bank.Maintain integrity of reporting and documents within specific group.Assist on special projectsInvolved in acquisitions and divestitures (i.e. due diligence, data mapping, mock conversions) as needed.Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, First Niagara’s Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements; including SOX Key Controls.Other duties and assignments as required by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma required, some college/university experience or Associate degree preferredCustomer service experience requiredPrevious Banking Operations Experience preferredMust be able to work flexible work schedules, including weekends and holidays. Business travel may be required.Business acumen - banking processes and procedures, including G/L accountingKnowledge of account transactions and historie Experience with Synergy, Intracheck, and ZeusProblem solving/analytical skillsGood decision making abilityPriority setting and time management skillsSolid organizational skillsGood communication skills – written and oralInterpersonal skillsComputer proficiencyCustomer service skillsDetail orientedFlexibilityManage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
