We have an immediate need for an Oracle Business Intelligence Developer


Summary
Oracle Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer will be responsible for developing, managing and enhancing the data warehouse and business intelligence solution. As an expert in business intelligence methodologies and processes, the BI Analyst is expected to work closely with the business community in understanding their information needs and translating these requirements into refined, easy to use information tools.

Responsibilities
. Support existing data warehouse reporting platform and application to ensure operational availability and scalability
. Work directly with functional analysts and business users in understanding the information needs of the business and developing new data warehouse/BI functionalities or tools to meet these requirements.
. Participate in building complete platform Architecture & Infrastructure to support business Intelligence solution
. Actively participate in modeling, designing, developing, tuning and testing appropriate back-end structures & tools to meet business requirements.
. Assess existing and available data warehousing technologies and methods to ensure our Data Warehouse/BI architecture meets the needs of the business unit and enterprise and allows for business growth.
. Provide recommendations on evolution of the architecture.
. Collaborate with the user community, and other technical resources, to thoroughly document requirements and detailed technical designs for software solutions based on functional requirements from the different business users.
. Perform various data analyses and generate and maintain various reports based upon departmental and enterprise needs
. Troubleshoot BI problems. Identify, coordinate and help resolve the root cause of day to day production issues and streamline the business intelligence processes
. Collaborate with team members and management to identify and solve data quality issues.
. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting in response to requests from end users.
. Create user documentation and deliver end user training

Technical Requirements

. In depth hands on experience with core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP essential
. Strong technical knowledge of COGNOS, including use of the Administration Tool, developing metadata, a security model and the presentation web catalog
. Extensive programming experience in SQL & PL/SQL essential.
. Should have good experience with Tuning and Optimization techniques.
. Understanding of structured analysis and design techniques


Please note that this position will be paid on an hourly W2 basis.
