* We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator \-Oracle EM Administrator/Performance DBA to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals\. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC This is an on\-site position with no telecommute possibilities\.Put your years of experience into a future of excellence\.\.\. The qualified applicant will become part of the Northrop Grumman's ETS Contract with the United States Postal Service, bringing top of the line professional technologists to their teams\.You will join the team and support the US Postal Service Database Performance and Engineering Team whose main focus will be maintaining and extending EM12c\.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Engage in troubleshooting Oracle database performance issues\.
- Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management, and production for Oracle databases\.
- Database Backup & Recovery and patch and database version upgrades
- Install and Build database structures
- Query and performance tuning
- Develop and maintain shell scripts and program in PL/SQL as well as stored procedures and triggers
- Reviews database design and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements\.
- Maintain security and integrity controls\.
- Develop and maintain documentation
- Note:
Standard schedule will be first shift - Monday through Friday with additional hours and days as required servicing emergency situations

* The ideal candidate will possess these main qualifications:

* - Have a deep understanding of Oracle Enterprise Manager \(OEM\) 12c, command line and GUI- Hands on experience maintaining EM \(OMS and Agents\) in the standard and PCI network- Worked in a large environment with hands on experience maintaining and deploying EM 12c new features- Hands on experience troubleshooting EM 12c issues- Be able to implement, configure, maintain, support and administer OEM 12c- Hands on experience configuring, installing, deploying, and maintaining OEM Agents- Understand OEM 12c plugins, management packs, and extensions- Be able to install, configure, and recommend best options for implementing system technology- Articulate monitoring and management of technologies via OEM 12c to customers and stakeholders- Maintain good relationships with various groups such as database, application, security, and storage to ensure monitoring baselines and recommended monitoring approaches are up to date and valid- Monitor database performance- Diagnose performance problems, and tune the database as necessary- Investigate, gather diagnostic data for, and report to Oracle Support Services any critical database errors- Configure and manage memory allocation and adjust as needed- Calculate optimum values for database parameters such as amount of computer memory to be used by database\.upsou civiledBasic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

- Bachelors degree and 10 years experience supporting databases in an enterprise environment\. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree\.
- Proven background and strong experiencewith databasearchitecture, both logical and physical design
- Ability to communicate implementation limitations and data driven solutions with all levels of the project team and management
- Must be familiar with backup/recovery strategies, distributed databases, data migration, security and error handling
- Knowledge of High Availability \(HA\) and Disaster Recovery \(DR\) options for Oracle
- Knowledge of indexes management, statistics, reporting, query tools, and practices
- Must be able to obtain a position of public trust security clearancePreferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

- Minimum 20 years relevant IT experience\. \(18 years with MS degree\)
- Minimum of 10 years of Oracle production support DBA experience; specifically, RMAN, OEM, and RAC
- Oracle certification strongly preferred
- Experience with Oracle 12c
- Expert Experience with Dataguard and ASM
