Sabre is currently recruiting for an Oracle 11g Database
Administrator (Applications) to work in Suitland, MD.

responsible for designing and producing a variety of
maps for users in the field, local government partners,
public use with data releases, publications, and various
other uses.
This candidate will be a part of a team that is involved
in the design of both a specialized cartographic
database and software tools to meet its batch mapping
needs in an Oracle 11g spatial environment.
This position involves building/maintaining both Oracle
10g and cutting-edge 11gR2 Oracle RAC/Exadata
environment coupled with Oracle Spatial databases. As an
Oracle Applications Database Administrator you will
build databases both RAC and NONRAC, design, maintain,
monitor, and optimize queries. You will interface and
work with other DBAs on enterprise database issues. You
will, devise strategies for tuning, partitioning and
other performance enhancements; and then work with the
team to set Oracle environments, setup security rules,
manage users, and troubleshoot production issues. You
will also be required to write PL/SQL code and Shell
scripting to automate various tasks.
Location:
Campus building is located in Suitland MD and is minutes
from DC and the Wilson bridge, and is metro accessible.

Requirements:
Job Requirement:
* Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or a related
field
* 5+ years experience working in VLDB Oracle
environment(s)
* 5+ years' in performance tuning of PL/SQL and SQL
code
* Experience upgrading Oracle Databases from 10g to
11g
* 4+ year experience with Shell scripting (need strong
shell scripting skills)
* Experience with administering Weblogic
* 3+ years experience with Oracle 10g or higher
* 5+ years experience in PL/SQL including stored
procedures, packages, and functions
* 3+ years experience working in a UNIX, Linux and
Windows operating systems Should be able to build
Oracle 10g/11g RAC on Linux/Unix Platforms
independently
* Experience with Oracle Internet Directory
(OID)/Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO) / Oracle Access
Manager (OAM)
* Experience working in a team environment with tight
deadlines
Candidate must be able to obtain a Confidential
Clearance and be a US citizen or have an H1B visa and
have lived in the US for at least 2 years.
