JOB DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day operations of assigned research projects and writing science briefs. The candidate will apply best practices in social media marketing to use technologies to recruit participants to studies and research websites. The candidate will work with lab staff and students to further the research goals of the Institute.

The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and detail-oriented. Must have at least 2 years of experience working with technologies such as social media to run on-line advertisements and gain website traffic. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in current and emerging Internet and social media platforms as well as analytics and understanding data related to how people use technologies. Must be able to write research and policy-related manuscripts that are logically consistent and without typos.

To successfully address these tasks on time, the candidate must have a broad set of intelligence, be extremely diligent and task-oriented, and an efficient worker.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will be social and team-oriented, as well as extremely organized and detail-oriented.

Ability to confidently and independently write research and community briefs that will convey our research to local clinics, organizations, and the scientific community: Requires experience either as a journalist or as an author/co-author on previously submitted/published research-related manuscripts

Must be able to demonstrate mastery of English language, grammar, and be able to write easily-understood manuscripts without typos or grammatical errors.

Demonstrated knowledge and skill in current and emerging Internet and social media platforms, how to use them, and the terminology associated with them.



Preferred Skills:

An avid reader and writer of technology blogs and websites

Web development and design expertise

Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years related work experience.
