Montana - Statewide

Location and team

Join the team in Montana that is helping commercial and industrial electric and natural gas customers save energy and money. KEMA is seeking an Outreach Professional in Montana. The successful candidate will be responsible for marketing and outreach activities directed at contractors, manufacturers, engineers, architects and others who provide energy efficiency equipment or services.

Tasks may include

Plan and deliver presentations at meetings and training events for trade allies and other marketing channel partners, customers, clients, and others
Build relationships with assigned groups and organizations through a variety of media
Execute elements of trade ally training program
Implement marketing tactics for energy efficiency programs directed toward key constituencies
Assess individual market opportunities and adapt diverse tactics to motivate audiences to action and establish metrics for gauging impact
Work closely with marketing and outreach team to monitor program results and develop recommendations to improve the program as needs are identified.
Maintain excellent client relations.
Generate qualified leads for NorthWestern Energy performance contractors by assessing a facility's energy efficiency potential and gauging the customer's interest and willingness to invest in energy efficiency measures.

What we're asking

Requirements include:

Experience working with energy efficiency or energy efficient products with commercial and industrial customers
Highly-polished communication skills—written and oral
Proven track record of translating technical messages for diverse audiences
Ability to transition quickly between tasks
Solid problem-solving capabilities
Creativity and attention to detail
A Bachelor's degree in a related field
Solid computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
A proven grasp of database and analysis tools such as Access (recommended)
At least 5 years work experience in an outreach position, sales, customer service or similar; An educational emphasis on energy efficiency and/or energy experience is strongly preferred
Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams
Ability to travel overnight 35% of the time
This is a U.S. based position; applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires a background check.
