Department Rooms Job Description St. Regis Butlers create indelible memories by ensuring our suite guests experience an unfolding series of delightful moments and thoughtful gestures. Attending to guest profile fulfillment and actively engaged in the on-site guest experience, St. Regis Butlers are in the business of relationship building. Impeccably mannered and discreet, butlers avail themselves to our suite guests needs throughout their stay. The butlers are the face of St. Regis service; bespoke, engaging, anticipatory and ensuring that their contribution to our overall guest experience make St. Regis the best address. Greet and interface with suite guests upon arrival. The St. Regis Butler shall provide dedicated, personalized service to all suites and designated guest rooms along with signature premium services. Signature premium services to be delivered to all suites include: Beverage Service Pressing of garments Unpacking & Packing of guest luggage Personalized amenity item Touch each suite daily refreshing water and daily amenity, assist with departure plans on the day prior to departure. Assist guests upon departure. Assist with maintaining and updating current guest history records in Starguest specifically targeting guest preferences, stay patterns, and personal profiles. Use these data sources to tailor make the stay experience. Other support duties as required. Must be available to work a flexible schedule. Requirements SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, will be required to work outside during the course of the day to assist with luggage and transportation. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments and locations of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education High school or equivalent education preferred. Experience Three years in a customer service position. Must be bi-lingual. Experience at a luxury hotel highly preferred. Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
