To provide the best quality of service and a high standard of cleanliness. The appearance and cleanliness of the hotel is the responsibility of everyone and cooperation is essential to achieve the objective of the hotel in accordance with Hotel, Corporate and local standards. This position must adhere to all safety procedures, and follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation. The Overnight Houseperson must deliver prompt and courteous service and be organized in managing the inventory. Duties & Responsibilities: Work in a safe manner and abide by occupational Health & Safety legislation and hotel policies in regard to accident and incident reporting procedures Abide by the policies and procedures as set out in the Associate Handbook and any other applicable Company Policies Wear the appropriate uniform as supplied by the hotel and appropriate footwear Attend all scheduled shifts including shift work and weekend work in accordance with the schedules Responsible for reporting any maintenance required in the hotel including guest corridors Ensure that trolleys, vacuum cleaners and other equipment are maintained in good condition Ensure that all storage areas are functional, well maintained, clean and have a professional appearance Liaise with the Coordinators/supervisor about any requests, urgent messages or matters Ensure all rubbish is collected regularly and to be taken down to the loading dock at the end of the day Ensure that all service areas are clean at the end of the shift Remove the bottles and paper from the recycling crate and take to the loading dock Ensure guest amenities and cages are re-stocked daily and advise shift leaders if anything is to be ordered Ensure that lost property is returned to the Housekeeping department as soon as possible and appropriate forms are completed Fully understand all House Attendant procedures and daily duties checklist Perform other duties/tasks and projects as assigned
