The Patient Nutrition Services Attendant I (PSNA I) assembles/sets up food trays for patients in accordance with departmental procedures and diet orders; answers calls from nursing service and manually records service requirement data; strips/cleans soiled patient food trays/dishes and sanitizes food carts.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
*Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
*Serves on trayline in designated area and accurately and efficiently assembles/sets up patient food trays; answers calls from nursing service and manually records service requirement data.
*Initiates/receives/relays patient tray information.
*Checks and updates diet orders via computer database.
*Delivers designated trays, supplies and/or nourishments to patient locations as scheduled.
*Strips and cleans food carts and dishes after each meal period.
*Accurately and neatly portions food products for patient trayline activity; assesses quality of ingredients or products prior to use.
*Provides finished product to the designated area and at the designated time.
*Assures appropriate production pre-preparation for next trayline/next day activities.
*Safely operates equipment used within the work area.
Food Handler's permit required. Prior experience in a food service environment desired. Must be 16 years of age.
