PCON Reimbursement Specialist
Ability to analyze EOBs, managed care contracts, and other reimbursement documentation to ensure appropriate reimbursement has been furnished and serve as resource person for claim processing.
Work PCON variance reports daily in a manner that allows facility to meet Operational goal of all variances identified, researched and resolved/noted within 13 days. Furthers that goal to meet SOX guidelines within 3 days.
Processes and ensures timely follow-up of requests from collectors and customer service representative on accounts with issues.
Retrieve and work daily zero adjusted accounts from the PCON report; trending down to reason as to why no adjustment was posted and if necessary take the appropriate action to have PCON updated and/or manually post appropriate contractual.
Prior experience as a biller and or collector in a healthcare setting. Preferably
hospital however physician office billing and collections can be substituted. Dental or chiropractic experience would not be useful in this field.
Require someone who has had at least 2-3 years experience billing or working as a collector on AR, can read an RA, understand a UB form and modifiers.
