Facility: IU HEALTH LA PORTE HOSPITAL at La Porte
Department: General Lab
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the acquisition, processing and delivery of laboratory specimens. Responsible for the performance of some POC testing and associated quality control tasks. Responsible for assistance in specimen processing in the Central Processing Area.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
Must be High School graduate or equivalent. Certification of training from an accredited Phlebotomy School or equivalent experience. Computer skills preferred.
Knowledge of laboratory and general medical terminology is strongly encouraged. Interacting in a positive manner with all contacts is essential. Full-time Days, Rotational Wknds & Hldys
