Our Physician Assistants are responsible for providing medical care as delegated by OrthoCarolina physician(s). Responsibilities will include assisting the physician in both the office and hospital setting, independent high volume clinics seeing patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries and illnesses, assisting in the operating room as needed, and performing emergency room and floor consultations.
* Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program.
* Prior experience in the field of orthopedics is preferred but not required.
* Prior experience as a physician assistant is preferred but not required.
Professional license or certification requirements:
* Current in the following:
o North Carolina PA license,
o Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants,
o DEA licensure, and
o Medical staff privileges at required hospitals.
o Must possess a valid driver s license to travel to hospital sites, other clinic offices, and meetings.
