Facility: MacNeal Hospital at Berwyn
Department: IT PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Supports clinical practice and clinical practice improvement through the application of information sciences, information processing and information systems theory with a focus on user adoption. Works with multiple staff in a variety of departments to evaluate barriers to adoption, design and recommend changes to applications and work flows to improve adoption. Designs and implements education, training and staff mentoring. Provides leadership in the facility and /or region level related to clinical process design and user adoption implementation. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois; graduate of an accredited school of nursing. A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing or other health related field highly preferred; Certified Nurse Educator or Certification in Informatics highly desirable; five (5) years of experience in an acute care facility; able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in a patient care environment and in-depth knowledge of hospital (Emergency Department, inpatient and office) processes and physician workflow associated with patient care including orders, results retrieval and documentation of care; experience with McKesson Horizon Physician Portal (HPP), Horizon Expert Orders (HEO), Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) using HEO, or Horizon Emergency Care (HEC) is optimal. Possesses knowledge and experience in System Training; five (5) years of clinical, healthcare systems implementation and/or experience in progressively responsible positions. Experience in implementation of clinical and ancillary, process automation, and standardization highly desirable.
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS: Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with a customer focus; must be able to foster and maintain sound working relationships with internal clients, peers and candidates; ability to create, develop and implement an employment brand for the Chicago Market; superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization; and, process management: must be able to develop and implement complex processes across multiple locations.
I understand and acknowledge that any offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory acceptance of the annual recommended vaccination(s) for a designated influenza season when it is available. The timing and duration of the use of masks will be determined by the hospital along with local, regional and/or national public health authorities.
