Job Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements
The PLM Analyst will be the link between the PLM Delivery Team and the IT Team. They will be the primary source for making minor enhancements to the system allowing IT to focus on major transformational development. This person will also be responsible for the technical writing of all enhancement requests and requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Works with team to define, implement and monitor enhancements to the PLM system.
-Execute confirmed process by translating into PLM Type Manager/configuration additions and changes
-Beta test new PLM processes before user implementation. Gain alignment from functional area business partner on user acceptance.
-Find & document any bugs or inconsistencies in PLM. Maintain call bug/enhancement tracking log
-Perform gap analysis between users' need and PLM functionality, ensuring technology matches business requirements
-Ability to take complex business process and technology support and translate for any intended audience, within various levels of the organization:
--Technical details for IT
--High level and/or detailed specifications on business process for brand and supporting teams
--Consolidated high level presentation for Executive teams
Training & Documentation:
-Support the PLM Delivery Team on training, documentation, videos and web-ex support for 250+ Global users
-Support the PLM Delivery Team on customer support for end users (internal and external/vendor portal)
-Lead PLM communication to the end users via PLM Project Roadmap, release updates, and conducting weekly PLM Lab.
Continuous improvement & Innovation:
-Investigate other technologies, both within PLM industry and across other industries which can improve, -assist, and
streamline all processes connected to PLM, Development and Supply Chain
-Functional & Technical Competencies
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
-Administrator of PLM - FlexPLM a plus.
-FlexPLM Type Manager - configuration definition
-FlexPLM user set up and group set up. Security/Roles.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel; Power Point, Prezi, The Calendar Planner and Oracle a plus
-Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to create process maps for complex and cross functional business processes.
-In depth technical knowledge of product development, costing and materials development
Education & Experience
Education & Experience
-4 year college degree or relevant work experience.
-2-5 years of working experience in the footwear and/or apparel industry.
-2-5 years' experience in PLM business process definition and implementation
