Department Housekeeping Job Description House Attendant Hourly rate/ Non-Exempt Housekeeping is a key component of the success of our exquisite and serene property. In order to maintain those high standards, we are currently searching for committed, hard-working, and guest service oriented individuals. The House Attendant's role is to support the Room Attendants by delivering linen and supplies to the guest floors. The House Attendant is also responsible for supporting the Housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness throughout the property. Due to the high level of internal and external guest interaction, the selected candidate should possess excellent communication skills. The schedule varies according to season; however, selected candidate must have flexibility of schedule including the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior hospitality experience strongly preferred, but not required. Previous Housekeeping or professional cleaning experience also strongly preferred, but not required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AVERAGE ' OF TIME 40 ' Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures and clean ashtrays. 30 ' Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts. Clean escalators and elevator car and tracks. 20 ' Deliver miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and deliver linen and supplies to guest floors. Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds. 10 ' Move furniture, supplies, and equipment. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
