Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each items, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain food & menu knowledge for items offered on menu and as specials; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the bartender or kitchen using the hotels point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed orders with the guests original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure food quality; serve guests in a positive, outgoing and naturally curious personality style. * Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests; * Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items. * Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables and drink stations; properly follow checklist and be able to performs all aspects of opening and closing duties. * Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. * Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors; maintain discretion and confidentiality, including matters relating to guests, staff, the restaurant, and the company. * Attend and participate in all required meetings or training events. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT * Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays. * Requires proficiency in the English language. * Minimum two years of related experience in luxury establishment. * Must have a strong F&B knowledge. * Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety, of wines, spirits, and missed drinks. * Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions. * Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours. * Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. ******Please note that due to the large number of responses we receive, only candidates being considered for the above position will be contacted for an interview.****** Four Seasons is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
