POOL - Lecturer - Business Accounting
Lecturers serve as either part-time or full-time members of the faculty in the School of Business. FTE is determined by the course load. Lecturers are a non-tenure track faculty position. Teaching assignments may include undergraduate and/or graduate courses offered by the School of Business on the Lawrence and/or Edwards Campus.
Lecturers serve as participating members of departments and should engage in instruction-related activities beyond direct instruction. Examples include curriculum development committees, course improvement initiatives, and advising.
Applications will be placed in a pool for consideration for part-time or full-time (regular or temporary) teaching positions as they are needed.
Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Appointments are one semester, renewable, subject to review and funding. The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University of Kansas is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.
100%- Teach undergraduate &/or graduate accounting courses as scheduled; maintain office hours; administer tests, and maintain class records. Lecturers should abide by the area s , School s and University's policies and procedures.
1) Master's degree (by the time of appointment) in accounting or related field
2) Previous teaching experience.
1) CPA and relevant business experience
