Position Title: PR and Communications Intern
Organization: Kodak Chief Marketing Office, Corporate Communications, Media Relations
Description: This intern position includes assisting a number of team members involved in external media relations and internal communications. Much of the work involves pending company announcements and financial reports which are confidential in nature. The ideal candidate has excellent writing and editing skills, and is well organized and adept at multitasking. The candidate must be eager to work in a fast-paced environment and may be needed to work occasional non-traditional hours to assist team members in multiple time zones. A major in communications or journalism is preferred, but not mandatory.
Monitor and report on press stories, trends and topics involving Eastman Kodak Company and its seven divisions
Proofread and copy edit drafts of documents, ranging from press releases to interviews to internal executive memos
Manage the loan of KODAK Super 8 camera prototypes to media; including shipping and tracking
Conduct secondary research to support media relations and communications initiatives
Assist in creating story angles and narratives on Kodak businesses and products that might be of interest to trade, business and consumer media
Assist in planning events, including coordination of supporting communications
General project management, including development of timelines and status reports
