We are seeking a Production Leader for Paper Machines 6 & 7 at our Wauna Mill in Clatskanie, Oregon.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the overall operation of Paper Machines 6 & 7 which are 200 inch TAD technology machines at the Georgia-Pacific Corporation Wauna Mill located along the Columbia River in Oregon.
• Provide leadership to inspire all within the organization to achieve the mills safety and reliability vision.
• Accomplish improved performance through 100% compliance in safety and health, customer satisfaction, organizational effectiveness, cost management and asset availability.
• Drive process & equipment modifications that result in improved product quality, reduced variation and higher customer satisfaction (both internal and external).
• Develop team to deliver world class results. Team consists of 3 salaried (Optimizer, Operational Maintenance Gatekeeper and Asset Availability Leader) and 45 operators.
• Build organizational capabilities in MBM Guiding Principles and Decision Making Framework so it’s incorporated in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Add value by facilitating the development and utilization of cost management tools for 6 & 7 Paper Machines at the Mill.
• Facilitate the development of an asset utilization and capital improvement strategy for the Paper Machines.
• Drive year-over-year improvement in operations productivity and net profit.

Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Mechanical, Paper Science, Chemical Engineering or related field is preferred.

Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of Pulp and Paper Mill leadership experience.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:
• Experience in tissue papermaking is preferred.
• Experience in a Union environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated operational results showing YOY improvement.
• Leadership capabilities to move an organization, presentation skills, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate fundamental economic skills.
