Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator provides overall administration and oversight of all club sports programs. Under the general supervision of the Director, the Program Coordinator collaborates with club sport student organizations and campus stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to strengthen club sports at Loyola University. The Coordinator is responsible for developing a strategic plan to execute club sports' standards which includes but is not limited to, advisement, training, and management. Additionally, the Coordinator implements and evaluates the policies and procedures for club sport organizations and recreation themed clubs. The Program Coordinator serves as an official university representative to national, regional, and/or local affiliated club sport organizations and tournaments, works with multiple on and off-campus stakeholders (e.g. coaches, trainers, travel destinations, etc.), provides risk management protocols and requirements to club sport student organizations.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for informing club sport student leaders and their members about university policies, emergency procedures, and accountability practices. This position also builds comprehensive risk analysis per club sport organization, advises the Club Sports advisory board and works collaboratively with a wide variety of administrative and academic departments across the university community, to develop an effective club sports program that complements students' academic experience and engagement.
The Program Coordinator monitors paperwork and documentation required including memberships, waiver forms, certification for coaches, team competition registrations and payments for leagues. The coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining the Club Sports Manuals of policies and procedures. The coordinator monitors University policies and sets Club Sorts practices related to driver qualifications and travel regulations, individual sports practices, safety equipment requirements, coaching qualifications and team regulations. The Program Coordinator provides emergency response coordination for team travel, including weekends. The Program Coordinator also provides financial management including developing the annual budget, maintaining individual club accounts for 27 active Club Sports Teams, monitor account expenses and assist students in fundraising programs.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education or Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field and at least two to three years of related experience required.

Certificates, credentials or licenses required to perform the duties of this position:
CPR & First Aid

Computer Skills:
Proficient with computers and ability to use Ms office suite.

Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and competency in respective areas of student organization management, athletics, and/or club sports participation. Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is subject to multiple interactions. Demonstrated understanding of club sports, recreation themed organization, and risk management for athletic inspired activities. Knowledge of risk management procedures (e.g. insurance protocols, off campus liability, etc.) and the ability to educate students in this area.
