PROJECT MANAGER / 40 HOURS / DAY / BWH- CARDIOVASCULAR MEDICINE
GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Working under the general direction of the Senior Project Manager, Medical Director, and Administrative team, responsible for all activities of assigned innovation project (s). Responsible for executing on a daily basis, the procedural, managerial and policy decisions made for the innovation project(s). Participates in all decisions made for the project and identifies modifications of existing policies and procedures. Responsible for budget oversight and participates in grant writing and proposals. Has direct management responsibility of study personnel.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Responsible for the coordination and implementation of project design processes and protocols at one or multiple sites.
2.On a daily basis, executes the procedural, managerial, and policy decisions made for the project.
3.Participates in all decisions made for the project and the formulation of policies and procedures. Identifies modifications needed and works to implement solutions. Designs and updates Standard Operational Procedures for assigned projects(s).
4.Responsible for the development and oversight of project budget.
5.Participates in grant writing and preparing and presenting proposals .
6.Serves as the primary contact for outside vendors utilized to ensure efficient operation of the study.
7.Responsible for the oversight of all supplies, equipment, and files.
8.Directly responds to inquiries regarding study protocol and policy. Serves as liaison to internal and external population
9.Keeps Medical Director, Senior Leadership and assigned staff informed of all issues, solutions and results by monitoring progress of departmental/project metrics on a regular basis. Must be able to interpret weekly report statistics, develop and implement action plans to address concerns when necessary.
10.Participates in internal and external audits.
11.Actively assists XXX by writing memos, educational materials, newsletters, and articles. Creates presentations related to project goals, strategies and outcomes.
12.Assists Medical Director, Senior Leadership and assigned staff in the design of reporting tools to capture necessary information to reach goals of the project. Assists in re-design of reporting tools as a result of project design change or amendment.
13.Demonstrate and maintains high level of knowledge of regulations, clinical conduct, laws, guidelines and standards relating to projects (s)
14.Participates in conference calls and project(s) related meetings, presentations and trainings as requested. Prepares agenda and minutes. Ensures all supportive documentation is available to participants.
15.Liaise with external vendors and/or related parties as a department/trial(s) representative to ensure smooth management of project(s).
16.All other duties as assigned.
BS Required, MS preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible research work experience. Prior supervisory experience required.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical skills.
Effective problem solving skills.
Ability to supervise and train staff effectively.
Strong database management and computer skills.
Must possess aptitude for budget management.

Responsible for supervising staff. Will orient and train new staff members.
