Selecta Biosciences is seeking a talented protein analytical development scientist to contribute to the development of preclinical and clinical products based on the company s proprietary Synthetic Vaccine Particle platform. Reports to Director, Analytical Development
This position is involved in the development of analytical methods and their transfer and validation in collaboration with the Quality Control function in support of the company projects involving proteins.
The successful candidate will
contribute to the design, development and optimization of robust and fit for purpose analytical methods focusing on proteins and peptides and spanning from early product development to drug product release and stability for clinical research
have a demonstrated track record of assay development successfully applied to sample analysis including various analytical techniques including HPLC (RP, SEC, UV/Vis, fluorescence, Refractive Index, ELSD and mass spectrometry)
design, critically interpret, summarize and present data and experiments at group or department meetings
work closely with in-house protein experts on the analytical method design and solve a wide range of difficult problems from method and instrumentation troubleshooting to sample analysis
contribute to in-house protein analytical development as well as activities involving collaborations and CROs
closely follow Good Documentation Practices and assist in generating technical reports
As the Analytical Development group interacts closely with the Biology, Formulation, Process Development, and Chemistry groups, the candidate will represent the Analytical Development group and act as protein analytical development lead in cross-functional teams and ensure transparent and reliable cross-functional collaboration to support product development, core research and development studies and regulatory filings.
