Job Description

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to prepare sales / stocking orders for manufacture on both paper machines and rewinders, coordinate load plans for sales / stocking orders, and to issue manufacturing instructions to the production floor on the sequence and quantity of orders to manufacture.

Key Accountabilities: List the required key outcomes or \\"whats\\" and the key actions \\"hows\\" taken for each \\"what\\".

*

Prepare schedules for paper that will be manufactured on paper machines and rewinders, including specific direction to production floor and PS&D Leads defining the number of rolls required to cut and the sequence to be followed.
*

Coordinate load plans for both rail and truck shipments that minimize freight spend for Verso.
*

Work with Corporate Planning to create detailed trim patterns for manufacturing schedules that maximize the available deckle on paper machines.
*

Manage inventory levels at the mill and local warehouses by 1) limiting overruns and 2) determining the most financially-responsible disposition of excess rolls ( assign to customer orders, cut down into standard stock sizes, move to seconds, etc).
*

Maintain routine, proactive communication with production operations, corporate order management, customer service and third party warehouse sites to 1) provide feedback on status of production schedules and 2) initiate any necessary, related actions to minimize impact to Verso customers.
*

Ensure order comments specific to the production process are communicated to floor through manufacturing instructions on winder and rewinder schedules.
*

Give guidance to production operations on the identification and location of specific rolls to be cut down, communication with PS&D Leads to ensure that desired inventory is moved to appropriate location in timely fashion.
*

Prepare and issue daily, monthly and quarterly production-related reports
*

Work closely with Quality Team / Product Development in regards to quality assurance measures
*

Manage Master Data in OPTI
*

Participate as a resource in Kaizen or other initiatives as required. * Available to respond to after-hour calls from Team Leads to assist with production-related issues

Achieve High level of functional expertise in SAP, OptiVision and Excel

Knowledge and Experience: Describe the knowledge, skills, demonstrated behaviors and experience required for entry into this position:

* Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5 years related business experience
*

Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills * Proficiency with various computer software applications ( SAP, OptiVision, and Excel are a plus).

* self-starter with high motivation level who is able to adapt to a changing work environment.

* Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and issues
