Position Description

.Cherokee Services Group is seeking an experienced manager with self-motivation to oversee a large contract in Billings. Our program managers have direct control to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction. Duties include:…

• Creates business growth opportunities within current contracts through expansion and extension. Supports ECRM Manager by identifying new business opportunities and proposing them for inclusion in the Five Year Business Plan. Submits pursuit plans and budgets for approval by the corporate Bid/No-Bid review team. Executes and reports progress against these approved plans.
• Supports the ECRM Manager in the creation of contracts, operational plans, and budgets (Contract Implementation Plans). Ensures performance on contracted efforts by executing approved plans, controlling and reporting progress relative to the established contract cost, schedule, and quality standards, and following project management standards.
• As a corporate representative, maintains continuous and effective communication with the customer organization to obtain a common understanding of their expectations.
• Manages and performs direct contract financial functions including budgeting, purchasing, travel, payment approval, invoicing, and receivables control.
• As a member of corporate management, plays a leadership role in the accomplishment of the corporate vision and ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
• Directs and performs program personnel functions including staffing, performance and salary reviews, EEO and benefits coordination, and personnel development.
• Recommends personnel actions to ECRM Manager for approval; including job offers, promotions, bonuses, pay changes, and disciplinary actions when required by corporate policy.
• Has primary corporate responsibility for identifying program and project manager candidates and providing for their development training.

Specific Skills and Requirements (Optional)

Five years of technical experience required and five years of management experience is required.

Education and Experience (Required)

Bachelor’s Degree required.
PMP certification desired.

Other Factors (Optional)
Part-time, 20 hours per week on average, M-F
Desire retired Government person living in the Billings, MT area
Must be willing to travel within the Montana area to support our customers in Montana
