PWB Field Applications Engineer

The FAE is responsible for supporting rigid backplane, Flexible PWB's, Rigid Flex PWB's, Rigid Multilayer daughter card and Backplane fabrication opportunities. Provide engineering support for local PCB and EMS sales teams, supporting local and global accounts. Identify design issues and determine design direction, goals and planning tasks. Review designs and models for performance, manufacturability and quality. Utilize the best manufacturing methods and procedures. The position reports to the Regional Sales Director. This position may allow a qualified candidate to work out of a home office.
This position will be supporting the South Central region.

Background and Experience:

- B.S. Engineering preferred

- 3 plus years experience in PWB engineering design

- Experience with Military and Aerospace industry,

Key Responsibilities:

- Interface with key vendors and customers.

- Present engineering data to senior management and participate in design review meetings.

- Provide detailed technical discussions on product applications and opportunities

- Manage multiple projects

- Provide presentations and discussions with customers

- Must be able to travel 2-3 weeks of every month to support accounts

- Must have knowledge of PWB layout

- Must have Printed Circuit Board industry experience

- Must be very well versed in IPC and Mil specs

- Familiarity with impedance modeling techniques and constraints

- RF design and Military industry experience a plus
