Paralegal - Asbestos
Morgan Lewis is currently seeking a Paralegal for the Litigation Practice Group who will be resident in either our Boston, Houston, New York or Washington, DC office. This position reports to the Paralegal Supervisor. In order to assist in maintaining our standard of exemplary client service, the primary responsibility of the paralegal in this role is to support a national team of attorneys and paralegals through the use of various applications, databases and established best practices.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Prior paralegal experience in a litigation environment, including experience with client intake and case management skills, is highly desired. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, motivated, creative and capable of managing multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines in a demanding, but rewarding, environment. You must flourish as a contributing member of a team, as well as while working on independent projects. Asbestos litigation experience strongly preferred.
Qualified candidates must also possess the ability to adapt to change; work independently with minimal supervision; and work under strict deadlines. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, exercise sound judgment, demonstrate good time-management and teamwork skills, provide excellent client service, effectively interact with clients as well as staff at all levels, and have the flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
