Job Description:

The Joint Aviation Analysis Group provides analytical and programmatic support to OPNAV N98 and NAVAIR AIR 4.0M in all phases of the Defense Acquisition System, PPBE, JCIDS, Operations Analysis and Acquisition. The Junior Engineer provides engineering, scientific and/or operations research expertise and participates in study teams conducting detailed analysis of Naval capabilities and weapon systems. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics. 2+ years of recent and relevant professional experience applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, or evaluate military weapon systems. Experience supporting Naval Aviation programs or other Navy programs desirable. Must possess the ability to rapidly understand new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems. Excellent oral and written communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required. Must be proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. DoD Secret clearance required. Responsibilities: Utilizes engineering experience to determine solutions. Provides technical and programmatic support to senior analysts. Communicates and translates modeling methodology and results into useable output products. Analyzes Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) of a military or governmental system to obtain a quantitative and/or qualitative rational basis for decision-making.
