The Merchandising Specialist will be responsible for managing all administrative duties delegated by the Category Manager of Beer, Wine & Spirits. The Merchandising Specialist will work very closely with the Category Manager and the Director of Beer, Wine & Spirits to ensure proper processes are followed to maintain compliance with the highly regulated categories of Beer, Wine & Spirits. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday, 8:
00 AM - 1:
The Candidate will be expected to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The candidate's key areas of focus will be in the areas of pricing, signing, vintage research, image research and cost verification.
Additional and more detailed responsibilities include:
Send, receive, collect and coordinate pricing from all vendors to ensure proper scanningCollaborate with scanning to ensure accurate pricing at store levelFollow up with vendors that have not returned current pricingUpdate the comments / notes from Vendors - e.g., bad UPCs, discontinued items, etc.Establish new and maintain current vendor relationships.Updating shelf tagging with proper detail on vintage, descriptors and retail priceCoordinating store / distributor specific new shelf tags for new items, markdowns, organic, gluten free and special pricing eventsNew item set up - must ensure all item detail is accurately recorded in the systemCreating special templates for stores to utilize and maximize information for the guestInvestigate and correct price discrepancies / overcharges with detailed follow up to ensure credit is issued to the store properlyManaging daily requests from storesAssisting with department correspondence to The Fresh Market store locationsManage high resolution images for One Day Events, Inspirations, Crate Signs, etc.Coordinate Crate Signs with Piedmont GraphicsCoordinate and monitor all Crate pricing, images, signing and vintagesResearch Local / Regional Beers, Wines and Spirits for new stores and resets.Make contact with breweries and wineries to collect distribution data
The Merchandising Specialist will ensure that all assigned administrative tasks are completed with a sense of urgency and with a high level of accuracy. The Merchandising Specialist will work in collaboration with all employees in The Fresh Market HQ offices, The Fresh Market store teams and the vendor community. The Merchandising Specialist will demonstrate excellent customer service in addition to demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as other designated systems, post training. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking skills and detailed follow through are required for the position. The ability to meet weekly deadlines is required. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. .
